What this means
ChatGPT gave the same four names in all five asks and put Zoho Books at the top of its list every time. The four brands it always named each say on their own site that they are built for small businesses in India and for GST. QuickBooks and Xero, two global names it left out, don't sell an Indian edition.
Where the named brands show up
The four brands ChatGPT always named are on most Indian round-ups. Of the 15 small business accounting lists we checked, Zoho Books and TallyPrime were on all 15, Vyapar on 14 and BUSY on 11.

Not named? Here's what was missing
QuickBooks no longer sells in India, so ChatGPT was right to leave it out. Xero was on 4 of the 15 lists, and a CA firm that sells Xero services says it has no localised Indian edition. Khatabook and Sage were on 2 lists each, and Khatabook's app listing calls it a digital ledger and udhar khata. Lists don't explain everything: Refrens was on 7 lists and was still never named.
