Where the named brands show up
We found no round-up of the best employment law firms for UK small businesses that matched ChatGPT's picks. The lists we could open were mostly for London, or were review rankings. Harper James, Bhayani, Stephensons, Bowcock Cuerden, KLG Law and Ansons Law were on none of the lists linked here (for ReviewSolicitors, its top 20), so ChatGPT's picks don't look like they came from round-ups.

Chambers puts Harper James in Band 1 of its UK-wide table of SME-focused firms, which ranks firms for small and medium businesses in general, not for employment law alone.

Peninsula and Croner sell HR and employment law advice packages and show up on HR provider lists, not on lists of law firms, which may be why a question about a law firm left them out. Irwin Mitchell is in Doyle's Guide for London, but its small business employment page presents a national full-service firm with 21 UK offices. The firms ChatGPT named most had a page written for small employers, often with a monthly price.
